I am a Course Director and Lecturer at The University of Auckland, Waipapa Taumata Rau.
There, I run a course focussed on sound design for film and video games. The course begins with the basics of sound design and culminates in implementation to video game and a complete soundtrack for a short film.
This is an interesting course to run in the School of Music, as a large focus is on non-musical sounds for film and games. This is the only sound design course at the university and so carries students from a place of unfamiliarity to a place where they can effectively create complete audio for short film and more.
